Re: Surprise Post

Earlier this month, I mentioned how I used to write poetry. How I had written one years Gotham the I was going to have someone turn into a song & I laughed at the time, although I was excited. Well, nevertheless, it didn’t happen but, I wrote a different one and after some delaying, rewriting, and rearranging–I am going to try to get it in the order that I want and share it… So, here it goes.

Now the weekend is over,
And the workdays have creeper in.
Say goodbye to the nannies,
It’s nearly time to clock-in.
As the minutes turn to hours and it feels like there’s no end,
We’ll soon be begging for it to all be over.

So when you’re weary and broken,
There’s only one place to begin.
Pull the covers over your head,
Close your eyes and take a breath.
For comfort is closer than you could ever think.
Take just a moment and you’ll find the peace you need.
Feel his arms surround you before you even begin to speak.
Jesus is watching and he knows just what you need.

With his hands to guide you,
This week will be a breeze.
So slam the door on the devil,
There’s no room for a dirty thief!
He wants to rob you of your hope and faith.
He’ll do his best to leave behind only doubt and disbelief.

When you’re worn out and confused,
Don’t listen to the voices of negativity.
