40 Bags in 40 Days–Day 11

We’re approaching 2 weeks at this rather quickly–it’s crazy!

So here it is–

My kitchen is cleaner. I get up in the morning and load or unload the dishwasher as necessary. I have been trying to rinse dishes as I use them and keep it as clean as possible. It takes about 15-30 minutes to clean in the morning and I do it first thing in the morning–well, within the first 2 hours that I am awake. Eat breakfast and then clean the kitchen since I have to rinse my dishes any way.

This morning I had to laugh at myself as I “decluttered” a box of cereal and some berries in the freezer. I got all excited and proud of myself–1) no one else likes Raisin Brand in my house 2) the berries have been in there a while.

Yesterday, was a horrible day! In a matter of 30 minutes, I burn my hand on lunch, bit my tongue trying to eat, and scrapped the top of my foot with a cabinet trying to put leftovers away, taking a huge chunk of skin off the top.

I was super close to giving up and quitting. But, with the love and support of the 40 Bags in 40 Days, I got back to it. I cleaned out the hall way–it had been my collect all spot for a couple weeks. Took care of 2-3 boxes from the garage. Washed and dried 3 loads of laundry (all our dirty clothes), and got the office space more presentable.

I asked Mr. if we could reward ourselves–because he did watch the kiddos a lot and I was feeling overwhelmed. He suggested Panda Express and I was game. So, I got the office looking good and picked it up after Lil Boy left.

Today will be putting the clothes away, getting the main rooms finished, and a box from the office. I want to do more than that but, that is my plan for the day. Sadly, I can’t seem to find a lot to get rid of because we have downsized so much in the last 2-3 years. But, it’s getting more organized at least.

Wednesday, I got the pictures from Walgreens and got them put in their frames on the mantle. It looks so much better–of course, I need to teach our boys that it’s not a dump all place. Mostly, L–as I see the broken broom piece on the mantle. Ugh! Oh well. Just another step to success. I also have about 2-3 projects that will take about 5 minutes to finish but, I need to actually take the time to do them.

So, here it goes–another day, a little bit of work here and there and we’ll get there.

Are you doing the 40 Bags in 40 Days challenge? If so, what day are you on? If not, why not?
