Newest Kitchen Gadget

I swear I posted this before, but obviously not, since I can’t find it anywhere, maybe I dreamed (dreamt?) about it. Oh well, so here’s the newest thing that I’ve been using in our kitchen.

Though we do have new bell peppers and tomatoes in the kitchen, it’s not that–though you can head on over to our healthy 41c-BmkrI3Leating side and see how to make some pico de gallo.

It’s the garlic press!

I remember grow up, my mom had one. It was basic and did all kind of cool stuff. We used it when we made salt dough ornaments and my sister made one–I thought it looked like Santa–with a bread, using the press to make the hair look real. It was awesome!

But, that’s not what I’ve used it for–at least not yet. I used it to make pickles a few weeks ago, did you see my crazy post about all the cucumbers?

And I used it to more recently to make some garlic oil when Mr. got an ear infection. It did say whole cloves, but I didn’t want to wait.

It’s my favorite new toy! I don’t mind the smell of garlic, so I just use my fingers to clean it out, but you don’t have to, you can just spray it out with the sink sprayer. The basket moves out and it super easy to clean!

Seriously my favorite new gadget! I am going to have to see what else I can do with this little baby!

Head on over here and check it out!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Dancing Bear Book Review

I have been trying to cut WAY back on my TV time, but I’ve been doing horribly, with my brain going a mile a minute all day, I just want to “veg” and watch a TV show unfold before me. However, I finally managed to get myself back into reading.

I got up early, grabbed a cup of coffee and a blanket, opened the window, plopped myself on the couch and began reading Dancing Bear via Kindle. I have to saw, it was a nice. I got to use my own imagination to create the imagines and watch as my own little movie played in my head.

Now, I had a hard time now judging the characters by what they were choosing to do, but did a quick,  “… And what you did was any different?!” to myself and found myself putting the book down a few times from feeling some self-disgust.

It’s a great book though! The story is full of adventure and the whole plot of the book has you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next.

I think if you like shows like Burn Notice, Leverage and Psych–you will love this book! It’s a great read!

You don’t have to take my word for it though–go check out the preview on Amazon.
